Welcome to the new look Norwich Traffic Club website, it has been a very long time coming, and involved a lot of blood sweat and tears, but I trust you approve of the changes we have implemented on your behalf.

We hope that the site will encourage new members by giving them an insight into our activities. As a member you can use it as a marketing tool to promote your own business by including a link to your website and also placing articles, news and promotions etc. on the Club site.

The web site needs your input and you can forward any items to Janice Howell. We will be including a featured member every few months so if that is of interest to you please contact us.

The last year has seen a busy calendar with a variety of very interesting speakers at the meetings, the attendance has been consistent but it would be encouraging to see more members present ,the committee are always open to your suggestions and welcome your thoughts and ideas on how you want your Traffic Club to progress .

I look forward to seeing you all in the near future and thank you for your continued support in the forthcoming year.

A Brief History of Norwich Traffic Club

design.1.sliced_49The Norwich Traffic Club was born on 25th January, 1933, the date of the preliminary meeting at Langfords Restaurant at which it was founded with 31 members.

The Club came into being at the time when transport problems were assuming greater importance than ever before, and there was a need for some common ground on which responsible managers could meet irrespective of the forms of transport in which they were engaged.

Today the Club boasts around 100 members from all aspects of the Transport Industry, who meet monthly for informal Luncheons and to debate and discuss important topics related to Transport today. The opportunity for business networking is also at the core of the Club’s activity and best practice and business improvement develops from these meetings.
